Information about the ship Eldorado

The Eldorado is originally a Belgian fishing schip (kotter), build in 1964 in Oostende. In April 2006 the ship has been bought by Sailing Eldorado B.V. in original state. Inclusive the fishing nets, which still were in the cargo bay's. At this moment, the ship is being transformed from fishing ship to a beautifull, sea worthy schooner rigged 2 masts sailing vessel. To get this done, large parts of the ship will be removed and almost only the hull will be reused. The Eldorado has a beautifull shape, that is why she will sail easy and fast through the waves of the oceans. The rear is so developed that the water will be released easily, which improves the sailing abilities of the ship. At the ship yard, a new head and rear end will be build, which will give the ship a more beautifull shape, which belongs to a fast sailingship.

The Eldorado is build for a maximum of 16 passengers. There will be 1 four persons cabin and 6 two persons cabins. Every cabin has it's own toilet and shower, 2 beds, airconditioning, window, closet for clothes and personal belongings.

In the salon, you can relax at the well formed tables and comfortable seats. At the end of the saloon, you will find the Galley, which has al the modern equipment you normaly find in a hotel/restaurant.

The bridge is also in the saloon, so you can easily help to navigate the ship, if you like. On deck we have a big wheel, which is used when the weather allows it.

Other facilities are present on the Eldorado, like a washingmachine, dryer and even a jacuzzi. For fun we have diving equipment, a speedboat and other games.
